PORT CHARLOTTE, FL- Madonna Joan (Summers) Howerton Seybert, 89, passed away on Wednesday, December 13, 2017 at Bayfront Hospital in Port Charlotte, Florida following an extended illness.

She was born on March 16, 1928 in Alexandria to Roscoe and Aretta (Porter) Summers. Madonna was a graduate of Alexandria High School-Class of 1946. She worked as a cook at the Alexandria-Monroe High School. Madonna was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star formerly of Alexandria for 26 years. She attended the Vermillion Christian Church of rural Alexandria.

Husband-Dale Seybert-married May 1, 1992
Son-Kevin (Paula) Howerton- Dover, Tennessee and his children, Justin (Nicole) Howerton, Brock (Hannah) Howerton, Autumn Howerton and 5 great grandchildren, Caleb Howerton, Olivia Howerton, Issac Howerton, Liam Howerton, and Addyson Howerton.
Daughter-Linda (David) Knotts-North Fort Myers, Florida and her children, Lance (Christy) Knotts, Brandon (Gina) Knotts, and great grandchildren, Andrew (Jordan) Catron and Sydney Catron
Stepchildren-Cindy Seybert- Port Charlotte, Florida and her daughter, Amber (John Benevides) Seybert; Melinda Seybert in Kentucky and her son Aaron Seybert; Chet (Jane) Seybert-Kokomo and their son, Chris (Kathy) Seybert and 3 great grandchildren

Madonna was preceded in death by her parents, her husband-Robert “Bob” Howerton in 1991, Daughter-in-law-Debbie Howerton, Sister-Jacqusie Stringer

Family and friends are invited to a time of gathering and sharing on Saturday, January 13, 2018 from 12 Noon to 2 pm in the Owens Funeral Home, 412 North Harrison Street, Alexandria. Interment of cremains will take place at 2:30 pm at Park View Cemetery in Alexandria with Rev. Keith Cramer officiating.

Memorial contributions are suggested to the Vermillion Christian Church through the funeral home
