ALEXANDRIA, IN- Nancy R. (Moore) Saulmon RN, 55, Alexandria passed away peacefully at her earthly residence surrounded by her family and friends as they "sang her home" on May 24, 2017.

She was born on February 11, 1962 in Elwood to Russel and Charlott (Perkins) Moore. She graduated as Valedictorian from Elwood High School-Class of 1980 and IU Kokomo School of Nursing in 1982. Working at Community Hospital-Anderson as a student, Nancy received the Gordon Boughton Scholarship from the Community Hospital Auxiliary in 1980. She was a career nurse in the Emergency Department at Community Hospital-Anderson from 1982 to 2016.

Nancy was an American Red Cross volunteer. She loved all of God's animal creation and was a 4-H leader for more than 10 years. She served on the Frankton Volunteer Ambulance service and was a longtime member of the Frankton First United Methodist Church.

Great-nieces-Amber, Sasha, Katie and Kamryn
Several cousins

She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister-Marianne Goul and a niece-Kimberly Moore

Services honoring Nancy's life and legacy will take place at 10 am on Wednesday, May 31, 2017 in the Frankton First United Methodist Church, 109 South 8th Street, Frankton. Rev. David Kyle and Pastor Nathan Whybrew will officiate. The Madison County Nursing Honor Guard will stand guard and hold their memorial service for Nancy on Wednesday at 10 am as well. Interment will follow in the Forrestville Cemetery in Boone Township. Friends may call at the Frankton First United Methodist Church on Tuesday from 4 pm to 8 pm or after 9 am on Wednesday prior to the services.

Owens Funeral Home in Alexandria is handling service arrangements

Memorial contributions are suggested to the Community Hospital Foundation with designation to either the Cancer Center or the Breast Awareness program.
