She was born on January 2, 1943 in Portsmouth, Ohio to Albert and Helen (Brantley) Colley and has lived in Alexandria for the past 23 years. She was a graduate of Markleville High School. Judy lived life her way and had an impact on those whose lives she crossed. She did not let convention dictate and to that end she drove race cars, worked for International Harvester in Benham, Kentucky and was the first female coalminer in Harlan County and the second in the state of Kentucky. She also drove coast to coast for Sam Tanksley Trucking out of Missouri. More recently, she was a dedicated CNA at both St. John's and Community Hospitals in Anderson going into homes and then caring for others in her home. She shared her love of crochet and most enjoyed her time with family and especially her grandchildren.

We made it through a very tough situation with your guidance and expertise. We would also like to thank the Alexandria Fire Department for initial care and transport.
