Alexandria—Paul William Peavler, 64, Alexandria, passed away at Community Heart and Vascular Hospital, Indianapolis on Tuesday, April 18, 2017. He was born in Henry County on May 13, 1952 to the late Burford and Marie Janish Peavler. Paul served his country in the U.S. Army and worked for Green's Construction in Elwood for many years. He was a member of VFW- Alexandria and enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.

He is survived by his children, Janice Shepler (Josh), Anderson, Shanna Martin (Robbie Williams), Anderson and James Peavler (Heather), Muncie; special granddaughter, Taylor Peavler; five grandchildren; four brothers, Ed Peavler, Charles Peavler (Mary), Tim Peavler (Jackie), George Peavler, all of Alexandria; four sisters, Marjorie Shinholt (Myron) Swayzee, Margaret Schultz, Anderson, Linda Faulstich, Alexandria, Wanda Heath, Greentown; special sister-in-law, Roxie Nicely, Alexandria and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Judy Peavler, four brothers, Rich, John, Lawrence and Raymond Peavler.

A celebration of Paul's life will be held on Monday, April 24, 2017 at 6:00 PM at Owens Funeral Home, 412 N. Harrison St. Alexandria with Nick Ford officiating. Friends may visit at the funeral home from 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM on Monday.

The family requests that memorial contributions be made to the American Heart Association.
