ALEXANDRIA, IN-Donald J. Lineberry, 73, Alexandria passed away on Friday, January 20, 2017 at Community Hospital in Anderson following an extended illness.

He was born on October 5, 1943 in Elwood to Phillip and Helen (Etchison) Lineberry and has lived in Alexandria for most of his lifetime. He was a graduate of Alexandria-Monroe High School-Class of 1962. Don retired from Delco-Remy in 1999 after 30 years of employment. He had also worked at Space Concepts in Fishers and First Call in Anderson. He was a member of the Christian Congregation Church of Alexandria, UAW-662 and a former member of the Alexandria Eagles and the Alexandria Jaycees. Don was a sports enthusiast and enjoyed bowling, basketball, baseball, golf, fishing and NASCAR. He was an avid fan of IU basketball, the New York Yankees and the Detroit Lions.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister-Beverly Pierce

Services honoring Don's life and legacy will take place at 4 pm on Monday in the Christian Congregation Church, 11015 North 300 East, Alexandria with Rev. Jerry Young officiating. Interment will follow in Park View Cemetery at Alexandria. Friends may call at the church after 12 noon on Monday prior to the services.
